The Whistleblower EU Directive, as well as current laws in Germany, require companies not only to have a whistleblower system in place but also to comply with certain regulations, including specific time frames for taking action.

One of these regulations is the requirement for a notice of receipt within 7 days. Once a report is received, the responsible party has 7 days to issue a notice of receipt. This can be done either manually or, as in the case of hints, digitally.

How do we ensure this confirmation with hints?

Upon submission, the reporter receives a timestamp confirming that the submission has been received in the system. This timestamp serves as sufficient compliance with the 7-day regulation.

This is how the reporter can see the timestamp after the submission was made:

1. After the submission is made, a pop-up window will open, allowing the person to copy the link directing them back to the submission.

2. When re-visiting the URL, the reporter first needs to enter the password they have set when making the submission. This is how the submission page secured.

3. After submitting the password, the person will be directed to the submission page, where they can now see the timestamp as confirmation, that the submission was made.

However, if you choose to provide a personalized response, you may do so, and the reporting individual can access the comment via their submission link, too.
